Question Holes in front bumper

I just got my 08 Evo X. I wanted to take off the license plate frame, but when I do there are holes there. Is there anything to plug it? I'm kinda pissed that they actually have to drill holes in the bumper to have the license in the front. Any ideas?

yes I believe they drilled 3 hole on your bumper, get some bumper cover and touch it up with your OEM touch up paint.

You might be able to find some sort of plug that will fit in there. You could always take it to a body shop and have them filled.

The new plate holders go over the black bar in the front. You can also go to autozone and get one and just zip tie it to those bars.

New Dealer plate holders? Or the ones that people are making on their own? I thought Mitsu only made the one that mounts to the bumper (with 3 holes)

I don't really need a relocation for the plate holder. I just need a way to eliminate the holes after I take off the holder. I think I'm gonna have the dealer body shop go ahead and fill the holes and repaint it.

One question though; does anyone know where I can find a new prepainted front bumper? The dealer said they would pay half. Idk where I can get them for cheapest.

I changed my GSR front end for a RS version ...... but that had the hole you are talking about.

Anyway, the dealer sorted it out for me in the bodyshop ... they just made a little rubber plug. If you look for it, you can see it .... but it isnt something that you would ever notice.

Anyway, the guys did a good job.... so it can be done...... dont let anybody fill it and respray it ... it isnt needed..... a good bodyshop will just do what I had done.

or try a bit of DIY with some soft black rubber.

I believe they started making other ones. I know they're available in Australia for sure. I think some people in Canada have them as well.

On mine it looks like they tried to do it, put it in the wrong spot and then drilled again. I have like 5 holes. I kinda feel like 5 plugs would be too much.
