I let my old man drive my car a few weeks ago when it only had 500kms on it and I told him nothing over 5000rpm... so what does he do.. turns a few times, gets out onto an open road and nails it and takes it right up to 7000rpm looks over at me and says
"yea its ok... not that fast though"
I mean ya I admit I do not think the Evos are that fast either (in stock form) but AHHH the car only had 500kms!!! and he pretty much red lined it

he was almost as happy as i was when i first got it. we should bump this thread on fathers day

when i traded my 08 gts on the 04 viii, my dad drove it before i did. after taking the car home my dad calls me, "be careful in that thing, that would be an easy car to get urself killed in"
every time i talk to him about racing it its always the same "be careful, u dont have insurance when ur on the racetrack," "dad, im doing autocross, i doubt the cones are going to sue me"

Yeah I still remember the first day my Dad drove my X... The initial shock of turbo boost caught him off guard, not to mention how grabby the brakes were! Happy father's day.
My Dad always told me to never settle or give up, one of my dreams was to always own an X and in 2008 i finally purchased one; so yeah, happy FATHER"S DAY!
