my car has 6000 km on it.. i doubt its the clutch and i would have known if its slipping right? a burnt clutch has a distinct smell... i am hoping its gas and nothing major but its annoying esp when people are in the car and only happens under load...

Mine has 5400 miles on it and the clutch is dead, it smelt horrible for almost a couple of thousand before it actually slipped................

check under the car for raod kill..i once had a pigeon stuck near the starter on one of my other cars...Probably the clutch though.

What does it smell like if you run the just the fan after having the A/C on?

I know just about every car I've owned gets a funky smell after turning the A/C off but, leaving the fan on. I'm wondering if the WOT A/C kill is kicking in and you're getting a musty smell from that.

Clutch is a nasty acrid smell (almost like what I would imagine a skunk on fire to smell like)vthat you would probably recognize pretty easily.
