I cant remember exactly where I heard it (to much ) but Mitsubishi is expected to go bankrupt by 2010, and at the least pull out of all international markets. I honestly wouldn't mind, as long as I can get my parts somehow. Congrats on the purchase

Excerpt from Mitsubishi Canada website
Three Canadian models: Lancer Evolution RS, GSR and MR
Three Lancer Evolution models are offered in Canada for 2009, the RS, the GSR and the MR.

^ That makes a lot of sense...mitsu knows the us market is waiting for 2010 models and if they offer minor changes most of those people are going to fall back on the 08's and add those changes themselves.(2010 sit on lot's) Basically they cant just bring 2010's just to get rid of 08's so i wouldn't be to surprised if a RS was brought over and im expecting something worth waiting for because it wouldn't make sense for them to do nothing!

Why are they barley going to introduce the 2009 model in Canada? Wouldn't it have been better if they just waited for the 2010 model, like they are going to do here in the US.
I know the article is dated back in January; however, if you go into the Canadian Mitsubishi website they have not yet posted prices for the 2009 model. They in-fact still have the 2008 model being shown, as the do here in the US; moreover, the 2009 will not have any major changes with the exception of the RS model.
All of this seems a bit confusing, since they still don't have the 2009 model, yet advertise that they are in-fact getting it. Business wise, it makes no sense to give the US a 2010 model in a couple of months and give Canada a 2009 in a couple of months too.
Anyways, I don't know what I'm getting at. I guess I'm just putting my thoughts into writing. Ignore it.

If it were me I'd wait until 2010 and see if you like those better. There will always be older ones around and a lot of them with low miles and probably some brand new. I'd wait that way you don't get one and then have it for like 6 months then the new ones come out and you say damn I should have waited. It's your choice though.....Good luck.

I say buy now. The 2008 X is great, and the current deals are some of the best I've ever seen on any performance car. I've been VERY happy with my decision to jump into a 08 GSR last week at 0% interest.

Waiting for '10 MY.
Hoping they offer the MR in a Manual. Would be nice if they gave it a nice little power-boost from the factory to compete a little more with the rest of the field. Another 15-20bhp would be nice.
