After a miracle, some hard work and long hours. I can be counted in as VERY happy Evo owner with 0% financing. I can now semi-legally post in the Evo X section !!!

I got 0%...... on my 2005 Evo in 8/05! and I'm still using the free money. I could pay it off, but why? My money is earning interest instead, although not much more than 0% !

Wow 0%? I was thinking ralliart when they first where coming out, but a little underpowered and overpriced, so then I was going to look at wrx, but too many motor issues. So I finally decided to look at a G8 GT. It was a nice car, maybe a little too big for a single guy though. They had 7k in rebates, and asking 25k. Not too bad, but only offered my 5k for my spec-v and I still owe around 4k on it. He quoted me about 475/m for 72m. I was thinking, WTF?, maybe for 60 months, but he said that would be the payment give or take 5-10/m. He did'nt seem to want to neg. and did'nt tell me what the int. rate was, but I'm guessing at least 7.9%. I told him to let me know if he could get the payments at least in the mid-300's.
I've always wanted an evo, but thought they were too expensive for me. I'm not sure now. I've heard rumors of base GSR for around 25k. If I could get one for that price with 0% int. for 72 months and get a decent trade-in on my spec (I think its worth at least 6-7k), then maybe. But I have to keep payments in the low 300's. I take it the 0% is only 60 months though? Any ideas guys, or do you think it will just be impossible right now and wait it out, pay my spec off in another year or so and hopefully get a better paying job? But I'll almost half to go back to school again to do that and that will take at least 2-2.5 years and I'm pushing 40 now...

At that 0% you can't get payments below around $450. Also keep in mind that a lot of the really low Evo prices are advertised with the rebates that you cannot get if you go with the 0%. Double check the prices you see because more than likely you have been quoted a price WITH the military and the factory rebate. If you are restricted that much right now, I'd wait a little. Other than used or leased, you're not driving an Evo for low 300's, let alone an Evo X. Best of luck!

Yup, I got 0% interest on my 08 GSR that I picked up last week. Took all the money from my trade in the form of a check and put it into my house fund.

Which dealer? I'm curious because I was watching an Octane Blue one at Tim Reid that is not listed anymore. But that's in Cartersville, which would be a haul for you.
