I went down and spoke to them again and this time they told me 12,000 for the Z and 15,000 for the Murano. Maybe I can talk them into 30,000 for both?

Haven't gotten anything yet, still working out the numbers. Dealer is trying to pressure me into buying, says I have to give a deposit by 2 because "someone" else out of town is going to make his decision on it. How much of a concidence is it that suddenly 2 people are interested in the same color of evo, they have 3 total on this lot, but the red one is the only one with the aero kit.

Can you get by running lower than premium octane on an evo?

I'm in Kansas. The dealership said I qualify for %2.99 percent and according to Mitsubishi's site I can get payments at $183.00 @ 60 months. Maybe the dealer wouldn't be able to offer payments that low?

This is the car:

Why would you want an MR anyway, can you drive a standard?

The only thing better about the MR over the GSR is:

1) Leather interior

2) BBS wheels

3) Two-piece front rotors

Other than those things, why buy a $40,000 vehicle which has a tranny that can only handle 350 ft-lbs ?

I've got a 6spd 350z that I modded, I'm 30 and now I realize that it's not as much fun shifting any more. I'd like to just be able to drive and not worry about it. Plus I'm not going to mod the Evo, i learned my lesson after modding the Z (warranty issues, reliability concerns, more difficult to sell, etc...). Plus after hearing how difficult Mitsubishi is with mods, i'm not going to deal with that headache. Another thing is my wife cannot drive a stick and this would be the main factor in convincing her to let me get it.

I work at a dealership and right now with the way everything is moving, I would say you have a little haggle room. They would prolly be happy just to get one sold. We have 2 mrs here and have had them for a little while now.

I just can't decide and I'm a bit pissed that they tell me I have to decide by 2pm because this possibly imaginary person is going to buy it... I've been reading more things about it like the fuel economy etc. and I just don't know if it's something I really need...

So don't, you don't have to buy it and you know what, there are lots of cars around, don't let them get the best of your or corner you into buying.

Thanks man, maybe I'll put a greddy twin in it instead of getting an Evo.

Who knows, I did however get another call today from the stealership saying that they've got great news and that they can offer me an extra grand on my 2 cars, and apparently the guy from "Nebraska" never called at 2:00pm to confirm that he wanted the car.
