Outside temp gauge does heatsoak?

so the outside temp probe is, uh, in the dash...?

No. There's a cabin air temperature sensor right by the ignition on the dash. (you can see the little vents by where you start the car) It's for the AUTO HVAC mode. The external air temperature sensor that displays the temp in the gauge cluster is in the front behind the bumper/grill area.

Mine reads a bit high, but only about +5 degrees. Is there a difference between the placement in the GSR and MR? I don't see why there would be.

Mine does it too. But in the winter the temperature reading only goes to -30 even when its -45 out. Either way it's too cold to fuction anyways.

So the outside temp number means dink, which is what most of us thought. It has no effect on car operation.
