It's pretty hard to get it all drained. I've used just about 5 qts even both times I've changed the oil, and I let it drain for an hr or so.

It's about 4.6 or so. The two times thus far that I've changed the oil in the X it has taken about that to register as full on the dipstick. And that was AFTER running the engine. What I do is put 4 qts in, start it up and back it down the ramps, let it run for a minute or so and then top it off. I usually add a little more than half a qt to top it off.

Yup, somewhere between 4.6-4.9. I usually put about 4.5 in, then drive around for a bit and re-check. I personally don't like to overfill at all, so I slowly add oil to get me up to the full line. I re-check the oil when the car has cooled overnight and top it off to equal the full line (so when it's hot, it will sometimes be a bit over the full line).

Fumoto drain valves are great, I had one on my subie, makes for easy and much cleaner oil changes, not to mention you won't forget to buy a crush washer anymore.

AMSoil has on their website all the capacities for different vehicles. You can pull up your specific car and it will give you all that information, plus the different types (weights) you can use.
