Code Puller?

Just installed the o2 downpipe and testpipe from UR. It has the CEL fouler already built in but i threw a code anyway. I have no clue why tho? It could be the o2 sensor or im thinking im overboosting now cuz of the new parts. Only mods are these 2 new parts and a base flash. NO catback installed yet cuz its on backorder.

SO I Need a code pulled. Yes i know i can go to autozone or w.e.

My question is... Is it the same as the one in the VIII and IX's right in the OBD II port or is the newer one needed cuz its a new car. Excuse the ignorance, but my shop needs to know cuz they havnt seen a X yet and they need to know before i drive all the way there tomorrow for no reason.

Thanks.

I didn't think the VIII and IX had a CAN bus. You need a code reader that supports the CAN protocol, so one that worked on an VIII and IX won't necessarily work on the X. The protocol is used in a number of cars now, so your shop should have a puller that supports it.

I've been using the obd2 CAN compatible scanner since 2 years:

OBDii scan tool

Works great, you just need a computer.

I picked up an OBDII scanner from Kragen for $100, mine is compatible with CAN cars.

Same here. There's a 20% off coupon floating around too.

I bought a little cheapie off of ebay, but it absolutely will not work on the EvoX. Works great on every other car I've tried.

Also clearing the code with the scanner wont work either it will just keep popping up you have to either move the sensor further in or out of the exhaust stream like I said I've been doing this for weeks now and can't get the **** to go away!

Here are the codes I get:

Ok the codes are P0004 (Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit High) , P0420 (Catalyst Efficency Below Threshold), and P0137 (O2 Sensor Circuit Low Volts Bank 2). But this has to be fixed by either moving O2 sensor farther out or closer to the exhaust stream.

That is my question --- IF YOU DO have a cat-delete ( AND AN EVO X)...HOW did you beat the sensor so it doesn't kick up codes??

I cleared the codes with my scanner but they just keep popping up!

What did you do to get it off, just delete the code?? Also P.M me and let me know when it comes back on, maybe we can crush this problem together since no one wants to help and give advise to how they did it??
