Better Windshield Washers ?

Has anyone else noticed what absoulte JUNK the windshield washer sprayers are on the X. I mean it washes my hood more than it gets fluid on the windshield.

Now to me the most important safety features on a care are good tires, breaks and VISABILITY. I know its an EVO and not a MERC or something but come on , windshiled sprayers.

Is anyone else experiencing/noticing this issue?

Right now i'm thinking either the nozzels need to be changed or the washer fluid pump heed a substantiall HP upgrade, maybe running a drive pully of the crank or something .

Anyway I'm assuming that with the Rally history of the vechicle there MUST be some nice after market system that will... oh I don't know... clean your windows.

Does anyone have any suggestions on such a system?

~Thanks

I know this is not a glamous upgrade like "bigger turbo" but ya gota see.

Mine work fine at all speeds I have tried.

I think they are adjusted incorrectly. When going 80, they barely make it over the wipers... When going faster, well.....

Mine don't even make it above the bottom 1/3 of the windshild at 30-40mph.

How do you go about adjusting the nozzles?

Perhaps slow down to 65 spray, then speed back up? It sounds like the wind is overpowering the sprayers. Do they work well at 15 mph?

I still don't think they spray high enough at low speeds. When stopped they are ok, but too much adjustment and you'd be spraying the back windows or car behind you, lol

I don't have any problem with the spray angle, but it leaks like hell. A few people suggested getting Galant spray nozzles.

To adjust the angle of the nozzles you just use a pin. Didn't you guys ever squirt other people around you in high school? lol It's great with a rear sprayer!

The galant nozzles are awesome. I dont know the spray pattern of the X but if its anything like the 8 with its two weak streams, they stink. The galant nozzles mist the whole windshield like a giant spray bottle.

Mine seem to jet out all in one spot just under half of the windshield. They should spray at about the middle. On my 05 STi the hose got pinched somehow and I had to cut it (it was too long) and then put it back so it wouldnt kink when I closed the hood. Then it worked great. You probably dont have this issue unless your spray is flaccid as a ladyboi
