Anyone hate the SSS package?

I opted for a base GSR because I hate the SSS package. I was wondering if anyone else out there thought the same? The only thing I like about it was the HIDs.

The test X that I drove had SSS + Aero kit. Aero was pretty darn low. SSS was just plain annoying:

Sound - The subwoofer was much louder than ever necessary. All types of music sounded muffled to me.

Spoiler - I prefer no wing, however, the base wing looks better to me.

Sight - HID's, who can hate these? (well, unless they are being blasted in your face :P)

FAST Key. I HATED IT. The plastic nub felt very flimsy. I like the idea of having a normal key.

And SIRIUS Satellite Radio? Why not just use an iPod/MP3 player?

And a question to non-SSS owners:

I had NAVI on my model. I negotiated to have it removed, and they replaced it with the Rockford Fosgate HU, 6disc changer. Is that the base radio? Or did I just get the radio from a SSS package?

I think you are on crack dude! I love my SSS! I agree the sub is louder than I would prefer but I still like it with the music I listen to. (house/progressive)

As far as the spoiler goes I like it but I do plan on getting the Do Luck CF Trunk after I finish my first phase of motor modifications including all the AMS goodies such as FMIC, TBE, and intake.

Just my .02.

I like my SSS package no real complaints.

Thanks for the explanation on the SSS, OP.

How much do they charge for that? I would rather go aftermarket sub, no wing, and HIDs are cheap (though does non-SSS have projectors still?).

the only thing i didnt like about the SSS was the subwoofer in the trunk taking away more space from a trunk that is already tiny

other than that i woulda opted for the SSS if money wasn't an issue

I've got the SSS, no problems here. I couldn't imagine the car without it.

I love the SSS and would not have even considered a base car. I do not think the stereo is muffled at all. I love the big wing and the HID's. Without the big wing, I think RA. The fast key is substantial also, and is a great convenience, and I have keys rattling and banging while driving. So like it has been said, I think you are on crack. Why would I want to screw with an Ipod laying in there?

I perfer the look of the base model. Although I would be ok with owning either.

I'm with you. Drove the SSS and it all seemed like a bunch of unnecessary weight. I don't like the big, heavy stereo, don't care about the Fast Key, dislike the gaudiness and obstruction of the rear view with the wing, and really don't care about HIDs.

I'm very happy with my optionless Evo.

The big wing looks a lot better than the mid wing.

The stereo can be adjusted to your tastes (Multiple different types of settings-you can even turn the subwoofer off).

Projector HID's are better than any other headlight available. Getting these alone is definitely worth the price adjustment.

The fast key system is awesome. Its definitely a better option than using a regular old key.

The base model does not have projectors.

You really don't care about HIDs? That's a new one.
