Do I need to be concerned? Latch recall nightmare.
So I go in today for my hood latch recall. I assume they need to pull the front wheel liner to get to it, because I get home and notice my RA mudflap is all **** eyed and not flush with the body. So I am like WTF, I just installed them Saturday. So I take it apart and the inner liner is outside the lower tab, anyway I have to take it all apart. I was very careful during my install to not ram the screws in to the upper tabs and take out the paint.
Needless to say, the tech decided this was a non issue and just reemed them in. I think those tabs are aluminum, but do I need to be concerned about corrosion?
Also, they ran it through the freaking wash without telling me, now I have a two inch long scratch in the glass on the drivers side passenger door. You can catch your nail in it, so it is not coming out.
Anyway, after screwing with my mud flap in the dark for 30 minutes, I finally got it back to where it should be, only the third tab from the top, I notice the tech lost the backing tab so it is now just into the plastic liner with no back tab.
Maybe I am over reacting, but man, this kind of **** really pi55es me off. Perfect install job on my part f'ed all up in 10 minutes.
They did hit me with the new updated tune. I did not look under the hood to see which one though. It did seem much smoother and steady at idle.

I just noticed the RA issue late tonight. How often to you really see a low profile shot of your front mudflap. I will be calling again tomorrow though.

I would even be pissed that they touched my rom. If that is not the job that they told you they were doing then I would assume they were doing things to my car without my authorization of course I am super **** about dealerships touching my car and would have probably sat there and watched them.

Believe me, no one is more **** about their car than me. I probably won't sleep well tonight. I am more pissed with just running those screws in chewing up the tabs. I do not want corrosion issues on a brand new car, and that area is going to get a lot of salt in there as this is my daily.

This is exactly why I'm keeping my hood latch the way it is. The dealers in the San Jose area you just cant trust at all! Rather safe than sorry... Wish I had a trust worthy service department in this area =(

I'd be pissed as well, but like UFO said, the front fenders are aluminum so you won't have to worry about corrosion problems.
I would be absolutely furious that they touched my ECU during a hood latch recall. If they cleared my tune there would be hell to pay.
