I think thats because it was running 8x **** gas and the ecu went into limp mode. They refilled it with 93 octane and reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery, and voila. HP increase on the dyno.

This is true the more you disconnect the more hp you will release. You really dont need many engine bay parts as well, most are actually there to pass smog. take off a few engine bay parts and you will release that hp it dosen't matter which parts. Let me know how it goes.

I'll tell ya, bang for buck wise, you can't beat the spark plug delete. It really helped my engine breath better.

i heard if u **** on ur hands and smear it all over ur car and intercooler and stuff u gain like 1000awhp but make sure u cover everything

hey man welcome to evoM. disconnecting your battery will not create any horsepower, not sure where you read it but dont trust there information anymore.

heh... no prob... at first I though you converted an VIII to a VII.

but to the OP, disconnecting battery would do more harm then good. At least for the first few minutes until the ECM relearns parameters.

I disconnected my Lancer Es battery and it turned into an Evo. It was amazing. But dude...seriously man. Wherever you get that info is bs, i repeat bs.

I'd think reconnecting it backwards would have more effect!
