I drove an Evo VI GSR Tommi Makinen Ed (Chassis comparo to IX and X inside)
We did a site feature on a local museum's Evo VI TME, then compared and weighed it against an Evo IX and Evo X:

The Evo TME is based on the VI RS + upgrades and different ECU map, shocks, stabalizres etc.
So no wonder felt like a race car vs any US Evo Also as we know, the TME is above 300 bhp.
Even with regular IX RS vs GSR in the US, which is got a same engine, suspension , ecu maping etc , you can tell a difference.
I love the fact the TME is a unique car , because it never made it to the US officially, and it is a limited edition.
I would love to have have one. Just for show. And drive around. I dont mind the harsh ride at all.

Is that the 6.5 TME that Patrick sold about 5 years ago? They are hard to come by in the states, and I'd be surprised if there are many left in that great of condition. I remember him saying some collector was looking to buy it... always wondered where it went. Had he sold it 2 months earlier, it'd be mine now
Solid read none the less. As if partying on 2nd ave isn't enough, I now have one more reason to make a weekend trip to Nashville
edit: found the original WTS thread he posted here back in 2004: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/pr...akinen-ed.html

In Japan they had a gentlemen's agreement that no car produced will make more then 206kw = ???hp.
A lot of cars went over that limit but officially they were recorded as dead on so they could still be produced and sold.
This agreement ceased a few years ago, hence why the newer generations of Japanese cars make over 206kw.
