if his car has 700 miles on it he most likely just got it so it has been sitting on the lot for about 1 year. Everyone is different but on avg people change oil every 3000mi or 3 months which ever comes first. I changed mine at 1000

No, you did not miss a thing. Others just prefer replacing their oil early right after engine break in to get rid of mineral shavings.

I'd say hold off another 1k miles.

Ya I normally wait til 1,000 miles or so, but with the car sitting for so long through the season, and who knows how many people driving it.

I was planning on doing it this weekend, but it's the MOD event. Maybe Sunday. I currently have 850 miles.
