Drive Like Rockstar On A Roadie's Budget

I thought this was very interesting...

Super Car Alternatives

A nicely done piece highlighting budget priced alternatives to some of the worlds most highly sought after super cars. The EVO X MR is the posited alternative to the Bugatti Veyron.

The only one I disagree with is the listed alternative to the Nissan GT-R. The writer selected the Nissan 370Z NISMO; I would have selected the Ralliart, since it is also turbocharged, AWD, and SST!

What do the rest of you think?

The X would have been a better alternative for the GT-R, as it's a lot more similar in layout than the Z. I think the only similar (and cheap) alternative to the Veyron is the GT-R. The X is a few steps behind, in other words.

I expected a bit more thought, though. ZR1 Alternative? Base Corvette. Why even bother publishing that?

yeah, i also lol'd when they called the vette a sleeper. yeah, because no one is going to think a new vette is fast or anything, right?

and the alternative to the M6 is a Mustang GT?

The Veyron is no longer the fastest production car. Over a year ago that award went to the SSC Ultimate Aero (built in WA state), and there's an article about it on AOL autos even, so the author of this article is not paying attention.

I emailed them to correct it but they haven't done so yet

So the best alternative for the Veyron would be the SSC (not counting the X), which is still pretty expensive but way less than the Veyron.

Good publicity for the X though.

Real good publicity for the X, but like others said the X is more like the GT-R!
