EVO MR Seats - do they get wider / stretch over time?

I drove the car a few weeks back and love it. My only concern was the seat width –they are even more narrow than my friends F430 that has racing seats!

They are tight but not unbearable. I was thinking of getting a shop to remove some of the foam from the bolsters. Has anyone done something similar?

Maybe this car is incentive to skip seconds and hit the gym a little more often.

I thought about it, but then again, I lost some weight.

loose some weight. less weight in the car. less to throw off in the corners. less weight the motor has to haul around.

nothing but benefits!

They may feel tight at first but you get used to it. I actually love the snug fit as there's nothing more annoying than moving in your seat from side to side during corners.

The seats do change shape over time.... for anyone that doesn't believe me, go sit in your passenger seat....

Very different huh?

At 5'10" 215 lbs and a wide frame, the Evo seats always fit me well. Subie seats are wider, never liked those. If anything the Evo seats needed more side bolster.

6'1" 220 here and have a wider frame as well. The main issue was that I never felt like I was all the way back into the seat. Like others mentioned, it appears that the shape of the seat does change after a while so it's not a deal breaker.

The GSR seats definitely widen.

I don't think you can pull a lot of padding from the seat bottoms since there's that "nut check" bar.

I'm 5'11" 230# and the seat is tight. I ahd to switch to carrying my wallet in the front pocket because it was causing me back pain. My wallet's not a Kostanza either

at first it seemed like a mission to get in and out of the seats + it wasn't so comfortable around the thighs for me (seemed like the sides needed more padding)...now im used to it and not bothered by the seats at all...

I've been meaning to go on the Recaro Diet myself. Haven't gotten around to that yet.
