Just traded 08 evo with 300+ whp, for a stock 135i. 135i is a lot more fun on the street.... amazing car, couldnt be happier with my trade.
sure evo would kill it on a track, but the comfort and v6 make the car so much more fun on the street and daily driving.

correct... i6, quick typing at work FTL.
all i am going to do with the 135 is coilovers, get rid of the runflats, and a tune. 340whp will be nice and reliable.

I drove 3 series coupes and 4 doors, I drove e46 m3's, nothing was as fun to drive as the 1 series, honestly. 3 series coupes look to long and are far to soft. e46s feel slow, and are starting to show their age.
there is some truth to what Jeremy Clarkson said "The fact of the matter is this. The 135 coupé is the best car BMW makes. I have no hesitation at all, then, in giving this long-awaited return to form the rare accolade of five stars"
Plus i got a REALLY good deal on the 1.

I can tell you I have driven all three and the thing is the bmw has far superior ride but you dont feal the hp while the nissan is the opposite the hp kicks you in the *** but the ride is harsh and makes the evo feal like a bently

best daily drive, 135 no doubt.
best moderate price that you can mod, evo x
id summarize like this:
if you are looking to go to tracks and have space, evo no doubt.
if all you do is street driving, 135.
the z is just an alternative to the 135!
its a hard choice though, i have to admit!

well i tell u i had a 135i that was wrecked and i had it over a year loved the car was great but once my car came back with over 27k in damage and they totaled it out i had the option to buy another car i did not get another BMW same price same investment i jumped ship reason..
1. BMW if u buy the resale aint all its said to be! yea you would think so but unless its a M its just a CAR
2. EVO 4 doors that will seat 4 adults is nice and i got an SE and i love it compared to my BMW
3. both cars look awesome but the 4 doors is just nice.
4. simple crap like maintenance i know the BMW 50k milage thing is great but hell with that i buy my cars to drive! i put 55k on BMW in 13 monhts. oil change in my garage evo was 40 bucks BMW 120.
5. six speed vs sst hell i know blah blah blah the sst is amazing my cousin has a continental GT and it doesnt shift like my sst!!
i have had everything from and Grand National to highly modded Sr20 powered S14 and im so stoaked over the EVO X.. its and awesome car pound for pound any questions about the 135i let me know...

Bmw is a bit more comfy compared to the evo but... Beemer = negative connotation, EVO = fan****intastic connotation I drove an M3 for a bit, the power of it is pretty damn great but evo by far is the most fun ive had from a car... A v12 is pretty fun (california is what I drove) but the evo's torq and regular street driving was more fun for me.
bmw's maintenance, repair is about 2/3 more expensive than fixing an evo. I test drove a 135i with 4 wheel drive and it was fun and seemed to be more comfy than the evo but there was just something not right about it... i didnt seem to really enjoy it. Dont know why, prolly a personal thing more than a general thing.
As for the 350/70z's.. meh, dont even care to comment... Flat out dont like em.
I agree with Kmart888, mustangs should be added to that list. I dont have anything against cars that are preferred by females but mustangs... lol. The thing is... All these cars, mustangs, 350/70z, bmw's.. their user demographics range from 18-80 year olds and they just get these cars because they look <insert name here> and dont really care much about the performance nor what you can do with the car whereas the evo has a pretty strict demographics. Evo owners know wtf an evo is and what it can do. Id rather have a car that all the owners know know about the evo and want it because its an evo - a performance vehicle. You wont see a granny driving in an evo doing 10 miles BELOW the speed limit but you will see a mustang or 350/70z.
The assumptions are made with GCT (general consensus theory) by me from my experience in the area I live at, cant say in all of the country nor world. I will ofc be bias when it comes to the evo as I own it and ive loved it since I was 12. (Thank you gran turismo on ps and other rally games) but having a 4 door car with this much performance and for this price... cant beat that, sorry.
