When I was deciding which car to buy, I had it down to two choices....

Lexus is250 and the EVO X MR

These are both great cars, the Evo has more power, yet the IS is more luxurious and refined.

I eventually came to the conclusion that I am 25 and really dont want to be driving a car that seems beyond my "age." Thus I went with the car that would be more fun to drive.
After driving the X for about a month, I have come to enjoy the nice options that the X has as well.

In the end, no one can tell you what to get. No matter how many times you weight the pros and cons, you will always be unsure to a certain degree. No matter what car you chose, I think you will be happy with your choice...

now, ofcourse. this is only a basic overview of the cars.

on youtube they have a Evo X vs 135i comparo and 135i vs 370z comparo.

which car would you think would be the best daily driver and a moderate price that you can mod?

I know i'm asking on an evo forum ^_^
just curious.

I asked my friend who is a tech at BMW while he was working on my car, and he whispered in my ear: Do not buy anything BMW with a turbo, unless you are only keeping it a couple years. You will need a new motor as soon as the warranty ends.

It is a nice little car, but that put me off them

I'm completely stock and it rides no smoother than my friends 04 STi. I have after market rims but it rode rough with the stock rims as well. Try riding an EVO with run flat winter tires (as I do) and you'll see what a stiff suspension is!

Newer Bimmers (cars) are equipped with OEM run flat tires which makes it harsh. To be honest, the X doesn't feel harsh at all.

To each their own! My car rides harsh, I've hit pot holes the size of footballs and it felt like I'd just ran someone over! You guys I swear, the rigidity of the X's frame is twice as stiff as an 8 or 9.

Ahh our roads here are pretty good (potholes are uncommon)... If I'm driving in downtown LA, I would probably agree with you :-). But yeah, what I'm trying to say is this, the newer bimmers w/ stock run flat tires and sport suspension WILL be more harsh compared to a stock X on less-maintained roads.

Yeah Ohio roads are terrible, there's not a decent road to cruise on in the entire state of Ohio. I like a stiff suspension, it's a pro in my eyes not a con!

Well the X's chassis is stiffer than the 8/9. I doubt it's twice as stiff but it is very stiff as there's no give.

I've been reading e90post and i've seen a lot of people posting things like "the N54 cars (1/3/535i) are good for leasing and then trade them in when the lease is up." BMW has no fix for the faulty fuel pumps, and the pumps are only warrantied until 100K miles, so after that its all on you.

Actually the only reason why I'd have to ditch the fancy interior (135i) and the Extraterrestrial Headlights (370z) is cuz of the Evo's AWD... I really doubt the first two would make me feel as confident as the Evo would; but again I think the OP really wants a daily driver?
