Buying an Evo X

I've read in a few posts that dealers are selling new evox's for 25K. I have been looking all over but cant seem to find any deals like that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I believe that price is well after all the discounts; and at least down here where I live, there's no more 08 Evos available, except for a Red MR that's aging at the dealer...

$25k new is a dream. The last bits of the 2008 inventory weren't moving, Mitsu got competitive, and they're for the most part gone now.

Lowest price tag on a base GSR is 28,5 before 2k rebate, 500 loyalty (if applicable) and 500 military (if applicable).

That also assumes you can *find* a base GSR.

Yes. That price is only valid for the 2008s, and they're obviously not getting any more of those. You'll have to track down a dealership that has what you want, or find one willing to do that for you.

It's so easy to get pricing info if you just do a little bit more research on this site.

Check these guys out, maybe you can get a better deal if you aren't picky with color/options: (they ship nationwide)

There are a few cars in the midwest but all of the ones that I've seen advertised are fully loaded models. I'm picking up my GSR in Milwaukee on Monday...I think the car is a good value even with all of the options.

$30-32k would be like throwing money into a hole at this point. Hell, South Coast was selling base GSRs for $30k and SSSs for $32k in 2008 when they were new and in-demand. I'd be looking for at least a few thousand off what in a few months will be a "2 year old" car. While $25k is probably unlikely now that the huge rebate ended, $28.8k on an SSS looks pretty easy.

Those of you in CA would find negotiating a lot easier, I'm sure (good ole' supply & demand). I'd have to drive to Chicago to find a dealer with more than one car.

You don't have to be in CA. I'm in Ohio, where dealers originally wanted $10k over sticker. They had a new red SSS marked $30.5k in front of the dealership the other day, which would be $28.5k after the rebate. And that was the marked, before-negotiation price. Demand is low everywhere. You can snag some amazing deals right now.

Even still, you could have an SSS shipped from California for less than $30k, including shipping.

Cool. I'm lazy and have too much money, I suppose. I'm getting an SSS/Nav/Interior sport for $32975 tomorrow. I'll haggle on my trade-in (if necessary) but I didn't bother on the Evo side.
