It's just an opinion nothing more. The 370Z is the new kid on the block so all the writers are smitten over it and truth be told it's a pretty good car for the money even if it's slower than the EVO X. I just saw the latest test on the Nismo 370Z and it's not that fast. In fact it's on par with an EVO X MR but slower than the GSR or even WRX. I love how they try to protect the car by saying that it will be faster after break in. Isn't that the case for pretty well any new car?

He speaks to his audience, which are people more concerned with what they think their car says about them than what it does. I mean really the only thing he says about the 370Z is that people will think it is more "grown up" than all the other cars. Who cares what someone like that thinks?

Maybe the link is broken but are people seriously getting bent out of shape over this one sentence?
A Mitsubishi Evolution might be a touch faster and offers a back seat, yet it's still an econobox at heart, an adolescent boy racer aimed at guys who think a sideways baseball cap is a fashion statement.

i am not saying no women will be attracted by a X or IX or VIII just more will by a 350 370 or g35 anyday. and seriously with the exception of the navi on the X there is barely anything in there that is stellar over a IX, the thing that killed me and made me stay away from the X was the mazda 3 rip off dash 
i loved the new seats though and the half trunk is killer 2. but the front end is so nice.

I just find it funny how the Subaru is in the same class as an EVO, however he doesn't slag it for being boy racer! Most of all those cars are based of Econobox's, not to mention there's far more Subaru WRX/STi on the road than EVO's and somehow he lumps the EVO into that category! This guy has got it twisted!

He also says the rx-8 is the traditional rival of the 370Z/350Z. I dont think I have ever seen a comparison of the 2.
Now that I googled it they do compare them.
