If you haven't experienced it yet it won't happen. I've had my evo for almost 2 years and never had to do this.

+1

I think if it was going to pop off, it would've done it on the track.

I thought the same thing when I read this a long way's back. I went out, tugged on the hose, found it to be snug and said "eh, won't happen to me."
Last week with the car being 3 years old, the hose blew off while accelerating on the freeway. IMO, it takes 2 minutes, do it! I would be in a world of hurt right now had the motor blew.

Yeap, that was the 1st "mod" on my '11 GSR lol... I remember going thru hell with the Ralliart thinking that the SST had crapped out, I bashed the sh*t out of the SST down in the RA forums section... until one day I looked inside my engine bay and found the stupid hose lose... car was back to new! took picture, posted somewhere here, added a reminder to self "soon as you get your Evo X, do this!"

Zipties wont tie as good as the the mini metal clamps that come with the boost pill hose though... those are much better!

Love me for taking the pic, and the OP for digging it from wherever it was months ago

I was so sad I thought I had broken something in my RA until I found this nagging little junk! Mitsu shouldn't be so retarded and tie all their hoses with clamps!

Cheers for the pic then dude. allowed me to go straight to it... .. I can understand why it isn't clamped either.. easily resolved with a cable tie though..

I checked my 11 MR and it already had a black tiewrap in place. I didn't put it there and no one touched other than the dealer. Maybe they cuaght up with this and the 11 MR had the tiewrap in place either from the factory or done at the dealer.
