Happened to me and I noticed it after looking for a long time for a vacuum leak. The car will idle so bad. I used a old hose clamp and looks great now. Why they didn't clamp it? Weird

There is a hose from the Fuel Pressure regulator to the intake manifold. Mitsu did not put any type of clamp on this hose. It will pop off and cause you to run lean, and ruin your idle. It is a simple vacuum line, but is difficult to see when trying to diagnose a problem...

The hose is located near the dip stick. All you need is a couple zip ties....

Heres a pic.

There are one 2 many "My idle is shaky" thread on the opening page..... this is likely everyones problem....
This forum has saved me more than once, Thank you for trouble shooting this issue, my car was hesitating in idle, Thank you for the clear picture.

Sub'd. X has been idling similar to this. Checked under the hood and the part of the hose going to the intake manifold seems to be attached and zip tied (THANKS previous owner). Going to pull the cover off tomorrow and make sure the other end is attached and zip tied good when I change out the tranny fluid.

Thanks for the info! I also zipped tied the hose ends and feel this is a simple solution to what could be a huge headache.
