Attention All X Owners.... Do this ASAP....

Just did this today on my 2014 MR manufactured date was Aug 2013
Outside diameter of the hose in question is 8mm as measured by calipers.
I have mine zip tied at the moment but waiting to get 6mm and 8mm Corbin clamps and see which one fits and works best.
So assuming that the hose comes from the fuel pressure regulator to the intake manifold, that fuel mists through the hose, this could be a fire hazard if the hose is off.

This is actually very helpful considering i'm having an issue with my AFR right now. And come to think of it my idle is shaky sometimes. I will definitely look into this...

My 2010 Evo X with 32k idle was fluctuating and threw a P0171. Cleaned the MAF and checked all hoses and everything was secure. I was getting frustrated until I saw this tread. Thank you for saving me anymore heart ache. It was really hard to miss if you weren't looking for it specific, but that vacuum hose was surely disconnected. Threw on a tie strap, cleared the code, test drove and she is running perfect once more.

Saviour... Bought an 2009 Evo X today and was driving it home when I realised it was having idling issues. Searched around the net... Found this thread... checked the car... All fixed!

Took a look at this hose on my '14 GSR. The hose was connected and did not seem to be easily moved. I installed a 5/16" spring wire hose clamp (picked up from my local ACE Hardware) as a short term solution to help prevent the hose from coming off. The engine bay is full of spring action hose clamps, so I imagine there is one from Mitsubishi that could be used for this application also. Since the fitting the hose attaches to is not flared, it would appear that the hose will eventually come off (once it dry rots) with or without a clamp. Does anyone know what kind of pressures are seen through this hose and in what situation are they seen?
