I checked my MR today and it had a zip tie on: I did not put it on. Can MR owners check to see if their's already has a zip tie on?

^ some one was saying thats probably from a mitsubishi mechanic from when you took it in for service.

checked mine~ it's fine and pretty darn tight! I'll still get some zip ties on it though, thanks for the heads up!

Isn't there like a metal clip we can buy at home depot or something... Cus the zip tie doesn't look like it will last.

on mine i put one of those very small hose clamps. the ones you have to use pliers and squeeze to open. Looks better and i hope will last longer.

Thanks for the info... this will be some good preventative measure. Hopefully the zip tie doesn't melt...

I have an MR with 1000 miles and it does not have a zip tie on it. Im gonna get a zip tie now

It won't melt. They can take more heat than you think and intake doesn't get near hot enough.
