I don't even own a Evo yet and this really helpful. No surprises in the future for me, but hopefully they fixed this for the Evo X '10s..

I tightened a small black zip-tie on the manifold side of the hose. Just for good measure

I'm having a slightly wierd idle in my 2010 evo...it doesn't seem to be a big problem, but I am wondering what I should look at. I checked this hose, and it looks like it's connected still. But when I first start my car, my idle is a little bouncy...maybe ranging from 13-1500 rpms. Once it's warm, it still seems to bounce slightly...but maybe like 700-750 rpms. The really odd thing is every time I come to a stoplight and press down my clutch: it goes down to about 700, then immediately pops-up to about 1200, then slowly floats back down to 700. I've read quite a few posts describing this, and people always say "check this hose"...but what should u do next, if your hose is actually connected? The problem doesn't seem that huge...should I even care much?
