Last of the summer wine (2009)
Went to my local dealer to order a 2010 MR and in the show room they had (after indicating that they would not be getting any) a 2009 Evo MR with 12km on it.
So I bought it!

Next thing you know, as soon as you pull out of the lot with your '08, a car carrier pulled in right behind you filled with '10s.
Regardless, nice car and congrats. Looks great. Good luck with it!

Of course they're not getting any. That's what every dealership with leftovers says. I've worked at 3 dealerships in the past. Same ol' thing.

I should have been more clear, sorry. I had been looking for an 08 or 09 Evo for about 6 months. I missed out on an 08 MR loaded during a recent dealer opening and all the others local to Toronto are demos with 10,000km or more and have been thrashed. Most dealers in the area had not seen an 09 Evo let alone sold one - we all know about the partial model year skip.
My dealer got the 09 only because another dealer had closed (Windsor?) and Mitsu Canada redistributed the inventory. The thing had basically rolled off the delivery truck - 7.4miles on it. So it was buy this one at dealer cost or pay almost full for a '10.

Very nice, is that the phantom black with the gold over spray? Very sharp car, I really like the MR, however I couldn't justify waiting any longer and giving up the third pedal... I've never driven the MR, I've owned the GTS is paddle shifters and found myself having fun with the feature.
