I once put a clutch in a front wheel drive n/a 3000gt and got to take it for a long drive afterword/ borrowed it for a day. It was a cool cruiser, but that was like in 1999 and I had a truck back then. I'd probably laugh now, but I'd consider one if I could find a clean twin cam 220hp n/a.
man, mitsu sure made some small transmissions and clutches back in the 90's..It's about the only make I never had to ask for a hand to lift the transmission back into place on.

What was the specs on a 3000GT VR-4 MR edition? It would be rather nice to see a newly redesigned 3000GT with EVO X suspension and gadgetry, mated to a TT 6, or they could make a two door version of the EVO and have it badged as an Eclipse. As far as handling goes, I believe the X is Mitsubishi's finest, however I can't but notice the 3000GT was a serious performer for it's time much like the EVO's of today.
P.S. So what your saying is, you had to launch from a dig to exceed 15 mph in tight areas to have a sharper turning circle? JK, would be funny to see though.

4 wheel steering was just one-upmanship in japan for gadgetry. Honda had it, so everybody else jumped on that bandwagon because it was perceived as less tech if you didn't have what the competition had. Nevermind that it added weight and made the car steer in the most awkward, unintuitive way.
these days torque vectoring and stability control/braking modulation is where it is at.

The MR version never offered here, DELETED these things in an attempt to make the 3000GT lighter so that it COULD compete with Skylines, FDs, Fairladies and Supras.
