I always hear EE - VO, I've heard many different versions outside the states but it's always EE - VO in my neck of the woods!

I pronounce it EE-vo, but me and my friends refer to my car as "the EH-vo" because the way the British say it cracks us up.

We also say "MitsuBUshi" because of the same reason - I think Nicky Grist may have pronounced it like that...? I don't remember.

Yeah, like "play, gray, or may". At least that's how my Japanese friend and all his buddies says it. Hiragana "E" is pronounced like our letter "A".

UK eh-vo is like "bread, lead, head".

They are similar sounding, especially when said fast.

Evo, like we say it in the US, sounds a whole lot different.

I don't know about you guys but most people I talk to can't even pronounce Mitsubishi correctly... They either say Mitsuboshi, Mitsubushi or Mitsubit*hi??? I had to keep re-pronouncing the word to a former co-worker and still to this day he's probably calling it everything but Mitsubishi.

I guess mine sounds like Eh-vo cause I am from Chicago and they tell me I have a heavy accent when I talk.
