just how bad is this "lag" people talk about for the 08's? I have the 2010 with the latest "cold weather" AWC flash and imo the "lag" is exactly like any auto. let go of the brake and it starts to creep foward. gas it and it goes. is it like "dropping" a clutch/aggressive clutch engagement? hell no! is it like the "lag" u get from an auto? yes! but slightly better imo.
now is this cuz i have a 2010 or cuz people are just used to manuals and "dropping" their clutches? afaik there is nothing official from MMNA about new SST programming... only magazine articles...

Believe me, the new Lancer was designed for the left hand drive market- don't get all JDM/UK happy. I rented a lancer in Perth and the catalyst hump is really big on the floor board, the radio still had the volume knob on our side, and the fuel filler is on the left too. The lancer is a LHD market intended car. Left hook ftw...just like 70 percent of the worlds population uses.

There's lag not associated with a normal automatic. If you have your foot on the brake and let off to accelerate briskly there is a millisecond lag where nothing happens. There's been threads about it and as well it's been mentioned in long term magazine articles as an annoyance.
