uh oh... (idle issues and power loss)(now car wont start)

so i was at walmart picking up some stuff, car was running great. so i stopped to get gas. after i started the car up to get gas the car started up with a really up and down idle. i gave it some gas to even it out a bit and the car would not rev like it should, it would just be really bogged down. so i tried to take it up to about 4.5k rpm in first gear and the turbo would just not spool, it felt really bogged down and the car wouldnt go like it should. i lived right down the road so i just kept the rpms down to make it home. i opened the hood to make sure all the IC pipes were still connected and everything looked fine. i restarted up the car and went down the road seeing if it did the same thing, it spooled a bit better but not like it should. any ideas of what this could be?

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
That octane boost didn't do anything...they only boost .3 octane. So now you have 93.3 octane.

There could have been moisture in the tank.

The jumping idle is really common on Xs after a cold start. The extreme loss in power isn't. For fun, check if there are any pending codes with a code reader. If you don't have access to one, Autozone will read (but not clear) it for free.

Let us know if it does it again.

the vacuum hose could have popped out on the fuel pressure regulator.

it takes a minute or get gas from the tank to the motor at idle speeds, so maybe something broke when you turned the car off or some a-hole at the gas station or walmart put a potato in your tailpipe when you weren't looking.

well i let the car sit for awhile. i just went to start it up. it was pretty bad. id hit the gas, and it would want to stall, like the fuel was being completely cut off. after the car warmed up it was fine.

Have you changed or removed the IC pipes? What about the mass-air sensor or tubing? Basically, have you touched anything in the engine bay recently?
