not trying to jack your thread but thought i would show you mine. I started this over a year and a half ago but stopped working on it almost 12 months ago. I never posted it but since I see your modeling and evo I thought I would show you mine. You need quicktime to view it

Wow, that's pretty good as well. I'm jealous of anyone that can actually make 3D models like that. I have to settle for actually building die cast models or the rubber cement kind, hehe.

If you could have made it turn all the OEM colors while rotating, I think it would have been better, hehe.

I'ts great!! I love that cartoonish style I can't remember if I have ever seen cartoonish 3D model of car I have seen drawings and Photoshoped images, but not 3D. Do you have any other car made that way?

As for my car, I don't have any new images, but I have time lapse recording of modeling: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRPrwA5dO04

I have a 2. part recorded, but video is still compiling....

And I will from now record entire process and put it on youtube.

That is seriously some impressive work, I cant imagine how time consuming that has to be. As someone else said earlier in the thread, you probably could make some money from something that well done and detailed.

My only request, could you post the updated pics in your original post as well, so we don't have to sift through all the pages of the thread (when it gets longer) to find all the images? Thanks looking forward to seeing how it comes out.

Did you look in the how to section? There are images of guys taking apart the front end. Like say an intercooler replacement.

Hey what kind of file out puts can you get with those models? I have Solidworks + FloWorks (FEA software add on) and have been dying to run some simulations on the X. Shoot me a PM with your email, I'd deff be willing to pay you for your troubles if I can get them to import property.

Thanks!

What software is it?
I love the work you put into it man....
I use Catia, NX or simple Pro-E. How accurate is the model to the real thing?
