Question Exhaust/Vortex Generator Need some help

Hey it seems like no one has a Borla cat back exhaust on their Evo. I got an Evo X MR 2008 and i was wondering if i should put a Borla cat back exhaust on mine? I wanted to know if its good or if there are any problems. Also about the vortex generator. As i said earlier i have an 08 MR and some of the vortex generators are specifically made for the GSR, does anyone know which one is meant for the Evo MR??

I'm new to this site so no crap please.

Thanks a lot!

its your car man, do whatever you want. if you like the sound of the borla, then get the borla.

Apr and rexpeed make VG. Just Pm someone or look on the website. APR has had a VG out longer then rexpeed, so you will prob have better luck there it terms of finding one for the mr.

nothing is made specifically for the GSR or the MR as far as the VG is concerned. its more so the trim that you have meaning if you have a base GSR/MR or SSS equipped GSR/MR

When I called Borla, they said the piping is 2.75" into the muffler and 2.25" dual piping out of the muffler. Only the tips are polished and nothing else. Hope that helps you any.

the reason you wont find much info about the borla is its too small
and you should read up on the vg alli know is the rexpeed looks good for the money but has a waitlist and has fitment issues

Thanks alot for the feedback. I've decided I will hold off on the vg, but for now im still thinking about an exhaust. Do you guys have any suggestions for exhausts? Like something thats popular or is known for lasting a long time. I dont really mind how big it is, I mean I'm fine even if its the same size as the stock one i just want it to have a nice sound, be reliable, and look good. Also about the polish on it... I just want the tips to be polished because you really can't see anything else other than the tips. Does the polish have anything to do with performance or reliability issues because than I'll pay attention to only polished exhausts?

I really appreciate the help and thanks for your time.

2 vortex generators are built into the roof of the car. The ridges in the roof create vortex's and push air under the wing(if you have the tall wing). There is a paper that the engineers at mitsu released showing the aerodynamics of the car.

leave borla for the muscle cars bro, get a japanese product for a japanese car. Greddy TI-C gets my vote, sounds awesome, doesnt drone as much as other exhausts

My vote goes for the Buschur exhaust. If the bullet muffler is too loud for your taste they have other options available for you.

Ultimate Racing is great. Reasonably priced. many options. check their web site. They replace anything if it should ever break
