evo x rear end bye bye

was testing out the car tonight and well i blew my rear end..the car hooked to good and just blew the rear end into small pecies...were can I buy an rear out of crashed evo x or something..who knew the rear in the x was so weak

Weak? Is this becoming a big problem or was it because of the uber torque you were putting down? I bet it would have been fine if you left it at stock torque... but that wouldn't be any fun would it..

there was a rear diff on ebay a week ago for 700 buy it now, the guy took down the listing tho

Is this common? At what HP/TQ levels has this become an issue?

Or is this a wheel hop result?

one would assume due to wheel hop - ryan gates evo X is at 500 + whp and to my knowledge has not had a problem and I can assure you his EVO X sees more abuse than any other X in the country!!!!


I have not heard this being very common but who knows

he's got an upgraded one, did it I believe once he started passing 350whp. It's traditionally not been a strong rear diff..

as long as you not upgrade them

many people upgrade clutch etc with raised engine power, but some how they forget to upgrade other components...

I haven't read any threads with those kind of recommendations. I know that Buschur has the pins for the center diff. What are people doing for the front & rear?

Surely the guys that set Evos up for drifting must be doing more.

my car makes about 360 whp and 450 wtq...car hooked well and the rear diff just gave up...does anyone make a up graded version..shep?????

it is when the car isn't made for drag racing to begin with.
