This works for all songs in music thats not protected. The clip is 14 seconds so it will work you can make any ringtones you want as long as they are under or 30 secs long only. Hope this helps.

BTW, you are awesome for that bit of information!

That just took away my single biggest frustration with the i-Phone!

Thanks!

On my verizon barrage I can't use MP3's either unless you change the extension to MID and then it works fine, done it a hundred times!

Works fine as "Evo.mid" on my motorola barrage. Don't know what to tell you.

okay, so my itunes would not let me add this as a ring tone and kept telling me you can only make a ringtone from music purchased from itunes. i found a way around it which might help you blackbery guys too. found a site, ringtoneexpressions.com. it allows you to make ringtones from music on your pc. best part is you get 5 free before you need to pay for the sofeware. just a little help incase someone is having the same problem as i did.

The should really make one of a car like AMS's drag car going down the drag strip. That'd be an awesome ringtone

nope, not yet... the text one is much harder to deal with... i think it can only be done in jailbroken iphones.... i remember something like renaming or converting the mp3 file to a .caf file then using a tool to literally navigate inside the iPhone System folder, then copy the file in there and it should show up under the text message....

I too wanted the shorter "vrooom!" for my iPhone text msg

edit:

here's what i'm talking about:
