My car weights what?!.....

well i thought i would share this bit of information with you guys since i haven't seen a lot of post about this. i took my car to a local recycling center and got it weighted there. the list of all my mods are in my signature and i had a full tank of e85 with me too. and the final weight was........ 3540 without me in the car! a little more than i had expected but thats the truth.

now post some numbers of how much your car weights!

Why is the weight so high when you weigh it at a track or something compared to what both magazine & manufacturer specs state.
Besides the weight of fuel, do they weigh the car with all the other fluids like Oil, coolant, etc?

BTW, OP, is that an MR or GSR? And I noticed that you have an aftermarket exhaust. I'm sure if you had your stock one that weight would be ALOT higher.

It's a GSR. and yes the spec weight from mitsu doens't include fluids and what not.

Mine was around 3350 lbs without rear seats and empty trunk + full tank of gas , and i wasnt in it. It was a full street car with radio etc head liners and everything, in it.
But i had some changes. Like exhaust - coilovers- rims and tires- small battery etc.

Now its a race car but it hangs around with full race prepped 3200-3300 lbs.
Maybe this year /soon/ will lose some more weight.
