It's an intake. AMS offers a CAI conversion kit.
The Buschur and AMS kits look damn similiar, with the exception of the CAI conversion for the AMS.
Who's going to be doing your tuning? I'd imagine it's a damn near wash between the two, out-of-box performance wise. It's pipe and a filter. Yee-freaking-haw.

Then I'd imagine it's a wash. I'll say Buschur, since I've had excellent first hand experience with them, but AMS is a solid name as well. You'd be safe with either.
If you're getting a Mellon Tune though, there exists cheaper options. SpeedCircuit offers a CAI for ~300 bucks: http://www.speedcircuit.net/product_...741ed7c1bd6b35

Our intake is made of quality 3" mandrel bent aluminum. Its very light, clean and simple. We installed it with an AMS Manual Boost Controller set at the factory 21 psi on our shop car and it made 45 awhp over stock. It even includes a fan shield to prevent the radiator fans from possibly interfering with the MAF signal as we have seen on some X's.
