And thanks again!

Just wondering why Mobil and Advance Auto would have such widely conflicting info, though.. strange.

Meh, who knows. Auto parts store - I don't exactly trust them to be sitting there and double checking their data for stuff like this.

Glad people got some use out of this deal

why in the world they have to set the cut-off time using EST and still charged me CA sales tax?!? still got the deal last night, but just missed out on the 10%. 15 quarts and 3 filters.

that sucks that you missed out on the 10%, but i think they charged everyone tax. I got charged NJ state tax. They are allowed to charge you tax if there is a autozone in CA

Yes, you do need the crush washer for the oil drain bolt. I always get them from the dealership. I usually get a bag with 5-10. I think they cost about $1-$1.50 each.

I can't speak for all auto parts locations, but my local stores only seem to have the base Lancer in the books where you can look up the part numbers for oil filters, air filters, wiper blades, etc, etc. Not sure why they don't list the Evo out separately. You can always ask the guys at the counter to look it up on the computer for you

I'm not saying replacing the crush washer at every oil change is a bad idea...

...but I'll be performing my 5th oil change on my Evo at 15,000 miles very soon (oil & filter every 3,000 miles), and I've never replaced the crush washer...and I've never seen a leak past the drain plug either.

Then again I've never over-torqued the oil drain plug.
