Advance Auto Parts - Deal on Mobil1 Oil and Filters

http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-...y&keyword1=oil

I ordered 15 qts. of 5w30, and 3 Mobil1 oil filters which came out to a total of $83.97 shipped to my door. That's $27.99 an oil change plus the $1.50 or so for the washer on the oil plug. I wish I could find a cheaper alternative to the washer. I should stop by Copper State Nut and Bolt and show them one ot see what they say.

I took advantage of that same deal when I was in the store this past weekend. Except I went with the Extended Performance 15k mile Mobil 1 which was $29.99 for the whole thing

If you read the link on the fatwallet that was posted, it says the coupon is only good at grand opening stores.

There are a couple of posts though that say that some stores have accepted them even though they aren't just opening.

How did you get that price by ordering onyx? I would figure you had to buy it directly at the store.

I bought directly at the store. And the store I went to has been around for years. So, no problems for me. I wasn't even planning on buying oil. I saw a sign and said "damn, that's a good deal I might as well buy oil and a filter while I'm here."

I didn't even need a coupon. There was a sign hanging in the oil section that had the offer on it. I don't believe you need any coupons and I know you don't have submit a rebate. They just rang it up and it was $29.99 + tax

I ordered straight from the website. Just do this:

1.) Add a multiple of five of these to your cart (for example, 5, 10, 15, etc.): http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_5W-30-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-%281-qt-%29-Mobil1_8140022-P_N4019H_T|GRP2046____

2.) Then for every five of the above Mobil1 quarts you added, add one of these (i.e., 5=1, 10=2, 15=3): http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Oil-Filter-Mobil1_3730003-P_1_R|GRPFILTAMS_949172280___

I just did this and confirmed it comes out to $27.99. If you spend $75, it's free shipping. So again, I went with 15 quarts and 3 oil filters. It shipped out within 24hrs. for me.

Walmart is cheaper but does not include a filter. The Mobil 1 filter is pretty expensive by itself.
