Whats the gyro sensor calibration for?

Whats the sensor calibration for ,found on the navi screen?? speed and gyro?

yeah its incredible that nobody knows the manual doesnt say jack also

Speed and gyro could be one of two things.. either for DVD lockout, or for S-AWC. Just my educated guess.

gyro is referring to gyroscope which think it has to do something with maintaining a position based on momentum.

Gyroscope would prolly be used to determine yaw rate of the car (rotation), so the ASC knows if it's under or oversteering...

+1 ..some TomTom, Garmin, and Pioneer AVIC-series navis have built-in accelerometer and gyroscope sensors for keeping your position when the GPS signal is lost, so I'm guessing that would be it. Think they refer to this as "dead reckoning", but not sure how you could possibly calibrate it, though.

exactly.... these gyros are used to find true north...
