EVO X Tearing Up the Dubai Race Tracks

I didn't think his driving is horrible, just a different style. It seemed like some of the cars he would stick with while others would pull away from corner exits and on to the straights. Possibly there were multiple classes on the track which would explain what was going on. The only clear advantage seemed to be the braking and corner entry which just doesn't add up if all the other cars were supposed to be on the same HP/weight ratio. AWD cars should have a sigificant advantage applying power on corner exits, perhaps it was a lower HP/weight ratio depending on the drivetrain used.
Likely with the lag of the FP Red he should have been on the boost just before the apex so that it was spooling sooner on the exits. Often it seemed like full power didn't hit until he was lined up for the straights and by that time all that distance gained under braking was long gone.

Yep. That's why I say, he got slaughtered on the straights. The restrictions are there, but it seemed like the car wasn't fully evenly matched... Number of factors can contribute to that.

Hello everybody,
Thanks for all the comment on the car...and the "bad" driver..
As mentioned on EVOX forum, the car is on GTB class, 4.0 KG/WHP..max..
The car is running 360 WHP, but we we run the car at 30-35 Celsius degrees for 45 minutes, what is quiet tough for a non track purposed designed car...:-)
The issue in the car is not the power, it's the slow spool of the FP, have ordered GT3046 for a while and still not received it yet..:-( what should help to cure the "lag"
Anyway, the trick of it on the track in slicks with AWD, it's how the traction change, have to switch during the race sometimes for specific corner the diff with the motec controller.
We cancel the YAC, that was useless for the track...
A good example is in the video by 2.21, was right after the pace car, I set the diff to lock 60% on the rear to bring back some temperature on the tyres...result, under braking it locked the inside wheel and pull me straight on...
The car is still under development, and the new turbo will be fitted very soon..as some more custom bits..aero...
As well, lost 2 bolts from the turbo during the race ( leaking ) meaning...lost of boost as well...
And regarding the porsches, the car can match a GT3 or GT3 RS in race wear, match a GT4 Aston or Ginetta, but noway, I ll pretend to catch a proper factory built Porsche CUP.
As for the apex speed, a ginetta (white car on the video ) might have only 350 HP crank, but weight only 1000 KG with full aero, and the evo, is not especially the most aero car ever built...:-) they can enter their power way before me..
As some of you noticed, we were running with GTA 3.0 KG/WHP and those, cannot be catched..
Anyway, this friday is the next race and will keep you inform....
We tested this engine with custom dynoed map on our mustang dyno, with a Blouch Dom, C16, we pulled 515 AWP..just in case you wonder what the car can give...
We try to achieve reliability, not ultimate power...and to make the car handle....
As well, I m not a professional driver, just a passionate who decided to built the most crazy project...an EVO X...not a time attack, nore a drag car, a sprint race car, capable to finish a 45 minutes race....
You can check out some of the pictures there :
Some of the details reach crazy levels, such as all wiring that has been changed for a bespoke wiring loom designed by porsche for their Le Mans car ( PCM )..
The car will be faster
Showned the car to James Kay, owner of FQ in the UK, as well helping them for the last 24 hours Dubai, he was really impressed of the details and built quality and technology on our car..:-)
Thanks to VIVID, AMS & JUN for their support..
Check this as well...
