How were your Recaro seats fixed

So I finally got annoyed enough with the staple popping out of the seat and stabbing me that I took it to the dealer. To fix it they just put another staple in the seat. I got home and the staple is already hanging out. Just curious how other dealers fixed the seats...

If you want it fixed correctly, fix it yourself. Thats always been my motto.

True but you think a dealer would be "semi" capable of fixing a seat. If it was anything else I would fix it myself, but i figured a dealer cant break or mess up a seat and if they do that is easily replaced.

The dealer I went to sent me to an upholsterer that works on all the dealer cars in the area. Pulled the plastic inserts out and sewed pieces together under the plastic inserts so no need for staples...

Service manager I went to thought even Mitsubishi/Recaro were idiots for trying to use staples into foam with an open ended staple, on a part where it gets stress from sitting normally in the seats.....

When I went in I asked them how they the seat and they said that just re stapled it. I asked how long is this going to last and he pretty much told me not long because its a dumb set up. The service manager was sitting there while I had the discussion. So I don't know if they will do anything for me then.

I took mine in a couple weeks ago, the service manager just took the staples right out, and pushed that flap up and tucked it behind the plastic insert. Surprisingly that seemed to work for me.

My dealer wants me to bring my X in. They told me they are going to take my X to a shop that is going to fix the seats. This whole process is going to take a full day. They wont let me take the car there, they have to drive it there

Wow, if that had happened to me, I would have grabbed it, pulled it back out and said "It's not fixed". Sorry, but that's not an acceptable solution.

Before I only had one staple hanging out, when I left work there are now two staples hanging out. I'm going to go to the dealer again tomorrow and figure out what they are going to do to fix this problem permanently.

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that these seats aren't even made by Recaro... Its the Mitsu special, with Recaro stitching.
