Warm/cold/hot start issues... anyone else?
When my car stock (for only 500 miles), it started fine.
I then went to Injector Dynamics 1000cc's with a tune, FP Red, etc... and the car RANDOMLY would turn over for like, 10 seconds sometimes before decided to start. I'd normally get a black cloud of barely burnt fuel when it DID start.
I switched to DW1000cc's, and still have the same issue. Sometimes it does it when it's cold, sometimes, warm, sometimes hot. I think it tends to do it more when it's already warm.
Does anyone else have similar issues? Sometimes, the car starts first crank. Others, it takes 20 or more cranks to finally fire up. Bottom line: it's embarrasing.
I am thinking maybe I need to adjust latencies or fuel injector scaling in the COBB AP. Anyone else have anything other than that to check out?
BTW, I am running the latest "blue" fuel pump relay...

I have experienced the same here, with FIC 1050's. Doesn't really matter the weather, sometimes it just won't crank. I too believe it may have to do with proper or IMPROPER injector scaling, maybe someone with experience could shed some light?

And yes, I think it may be latencies as well, but why does it start perfectly sometimes and feel flooded/rich at others... hmm.

If it makes you all feel better, my Lancer GTS does this at complete random. Did it today, in fact. I usually crank for 3-5 seconds, stop, crank again and lightly apply gas and it starts right up.

No. I just opened my map compared to a stock map, and this table is identical between the two. I think you're onto something (as usual), Tephra.
I'd imagine that a smaller number than stock on this table would suggest a shorter time period to open injectors on cranking? Obviously I'd want to do this as I'm running 1000cc injectors... Any inputs appreciated.
