Yeah, if i were you whip that poo poo up immediately. Bird poop will seriously eat your paint, especially if your car sits in the sun WHILE the poop is just chilling on the apint. :X

Never knew that about birds and black cars, lol. And yes, I'm very fearful of bird doo doo, as it has left a burn spot on every car I've owned. I always leave a bottle of quick detail, and a rag in every car now. Most people think I'm crazy when I'm cleaning it immediately, but I guess they just don't understand how bad it is... Did you ever get the burn marks out?

here is what you do. setup a bird feeder + bath up away from your car. The birds that do this are going to their nest in direct line of your car, you need to get them on a new route. it worked for me, now i have 2 lil babies, no poop, happy birds that love to look at me and jus hang out . seriously
maybe its a canadian thing

I usually keep towels in the trunk and pull them out in these type situations. I'd soak a spot in the rag with detail spray and spray the bird poop spot too and let it break up that crap and then hit it with the towel....otherwise if you don't have any detailing spray take a towel or rag and get some really hot water and throw it over the spot and gently wipe it off (this always works leaving no residues or anything behind....birds suck, rocks suck and bugs suck (all the enemies of a car)...

First thing first, the clear coat is the first defense before it actually touches your paint.
Solutions: Warm Rag with a cup of water to moisten the crap and then dap it, don't rubbed it off as it will scratch the clear coat even more.
or
Gasoline/ 3M mark remover will take it out in no time.
or
lastly if its that severe, get it detailed.
