Noob Needs Help

^ I think you need to do what's best for YOU and YOU alone. You're going to get alot of different opinions on this and you know what they say about opinions.
What can you afford? What do your finances look like? Any debt to credit cards? Do you have a mortgage, family, child support, etc. I these questions should all be factors you should look into first.
I also went looking for a 9 MR and there were slim pickins'(read:nada) I test drove a 10 and fell in love. Alot of people say the X lost the IX's visceral nature in transition to a different chassis and motor. I feel as though the X gets the job done in a way that's more subtle. It's comfortable and has lots of amenities that most cars do nowadays. Plus, you can wrench and make alot of power just like the 8/9. So as I see it, the X is the best of both worlds (performance, comfort), save for the weight problem the X has.

Have you tried the Evo X classified section? I would also consider checking out other forums as well.

so i went to the dealership today to take a look at the evo x, ww stock. ok first impressions i love the way the car looks and sounds. i took the car out for a spin and was some what disappointed. i didnt get the push into your seat feel when i really got on it. i mean i revved it all the way to 6k rpms and still just a little push. i drove my friend's 07 sti and around 3.5rpms i can already feel the turbo kicking in and starting to get pushed into my seat. i kept reading how mitsubishi had given the evo x a more refined torque curve and that it had lost its edge and from my test drive i dont think the x is for me. ima look into the ix's and see if i can find one and test drive to see if i get that feeling im looking for, if not im also looking into a 370z and a G37 coupe or sedan.

so after talking with many different people they advise me that the evo x is more mature or refined than the evo ix and it doesnt have that push you into your seat feel but is yet plenty fast. i guess thats good in a way to because it makes the car a more comfortable DD. now my question is they're asking for $27k with 28,000 miles on the car, is that a good deal or should i try to talk them down a bit? also i notice i dont have the projector headlights so i was wondering where would i be able to get the oem ones and around how much are they?

If it's an 08 I think thats alot. Just a comparison i bought 2008 gsr fully loaded every options an evo x can have brand new with 36 miles on it. I got it for 31k with 0 percent that's was a year ago. Might be a lil diff cause your in new york and i bought mines in cali. Also as far as the oomp go the 08 stock tune falls flat after 5k it's almost night and day when you do a stock tune on it.
