Hey guys,

Im pretty noob on this forum and just recently got my 08 evo x. Now im wondering with all these recalls, how do i know if my vehicle is apart of the recall list? I have not received any letters or anything since i got it. What do you guys recommend me do? I did some searching but didn't find much, sorry.

Edit: Also, because i bought my evo used, how can i find out if my car already had the recall service done?

Maybe call a dealership and have them run your vin

You can run a Carfax on your car to see if all the necessary TSB's and recalls have been performed or check with your local dealer.

Thanks guys! Hopefully the mitsu dealer closer to me would help me out instead of driving an hour to get the services lol. I appreciate the help!

Honestly, these forums and the members are a huge help, i've had the fuse relay's replaced, fpr issued resolved, and just recently had my shifter and cables replaced all under warranty. Take a look at some issues around the forums and when you visit Mitsu, be firm and state your issue, don't let them give you the run around.

Well i just called the dealership and they said there are no recalls under my VIN. Can someone explain to me what TSB's are and if the TSB's are suppose to be taken care of like recalls etc? Or is it just a way for the dealer to diagnose my car? Thats what the girl said when i called..

TSB's are instructions on how to fix common problems. They are not the same as recalls.

in my case, i had to actually find the TSB and take it to the dealership. Example, I wanted the updated tune for my '08 gsr, I had to take the tsb # and the flash code to the dealership for them to look it up.

Put in all of your information and it will let you know what recalls (if any) apply to your car.

It pulled up two recalls..but im not sure if it affects my car still because the lady i talked to on the phone said there were no recalls??
