Plastic 4b11 cover removal... cooler running?

Just wondering if you all think it will make it run cooler.. I would think it would have to be at least a little bit cooler.... any measures ever taken by anyone for some real world numbers?

Remove it if you want, but it's unlikely it will make any kind of noticeable difference.

Yeah, I wasn't thinking like 50 or 100 degrees or anything, just wondering if anyone had ever tested it just on their own for something to do.

The cover does retain heat. Will it matter? I doubt it. My car has been fine in the low-100's, with the A/C on, sitting in stop n go traffic. If anything, the cover helps keep some of the heat in keeping air intake temps down.

I keep mine on just because I don't want dirt and crap getting over my sparks.

I've heard close to 20 degrees cooler in road racing situations with the cover removed just fyi. For daily driving I doubt you'd see much of a difference.

Removing the shields on the 3 hood scoops would do more then pulling off the engine cover. But pulling all 4 off and putting a cover plate over the coils would be your best bet. Like people have said, it's not going to make a huge difference, but every little bit helps.
