Tried to order 2010 SE: Mitsu said GO AHEAD! Dealer said NO WAY!?
I just went to the largest dealer in West Palm Beach (FL) area today looking for my 2010 SE Well, talked to their sales manage asking for Blue SE. Unfortunately they could only locate a OB SE in the states with ugly chrome mirror covers on and they didn't even know the mileage =( So of course I asked to order one directly from Mitsu factory. But he said they can no long order 2010 Xs. I knew there is no way to still put the order for 2010 MR and GSR, but come on, SE was just out for a month so far...!? So I called the Mitsu America (CA), their answear is YES, I should be still able to order 2010 SE! (The dealer still said no way...) Moreover, Mitsu CA told me that 2011 Xs are coming in few weeks and will keep the same trims as 2010 which are GSR, SE, MR and MR touring... Hum, I did not even know we will have 2011s...That should be interesting to see what would be changed from 2010s... Anyway, seems like I should wait for 2011s and get one of them. But what about the ONLY 2010 OB SE they found in states??
THANKS!
THANKS!

i would wait and get the 2011
cuz if u think long term
the 2011 evo will be worth more than the 2010 when u are going to sell the car ^^
depreciation on 2010 will be much more than the premium you will pay to get the 2011

there are more OB SE's out there. I saw one in Orlando, and a lot more in Cali when I did a search a week ago. they are all over the place. that dealership is retarded.

2011 will have GSR and MR only, no more SE (it will be just the lower end MR now). no more SSS package, only SS (sight and sound) , other options are leather and sunroof for GSR! I'm also waiting patiently for the 2011 official release!

Special ordering a car is what we in the car industry call a "Sold Order". You are not even required to put in a down-payment. Even if you do put in a down-payment, you are free to withdraw the offer the very last minute after seeing the car too. Hence, there is a possibility that the dealership can be left with an older model year car that they will have to sell at a lower margin. I presume this is why they do not want to take the chance.

:(
it looks like there won't be a 2011 EVO based on the 2011 vin codes???
www.mitsubishicars.com/media/owners/pdf/11VINs.pdf but i think this could change as there is a disclaimer saying that more vins are added once production starts on that model...
