Here is the story Went to the dealer yesterday and kept looking for the leftover SEs... Well, did not expect the outcome, but here it comes: I brought this back to home today It was sleeping in the showroom with only 11 miles on odo at other dealership, free shipped here today and odo kept the same reading, couldn't be happier Had a little fun along the beach for break-in, OMG, it's just awesome! The 2010 RA I traded-in was driven 300+ miles by the worst dealer (Mitsu@Nashville, TN) when I was purchasing it, WTF ... Sorry... Anyway, the BEST car buying experience I ever had: Don't ask, just go and check them out --- Coconut Creek Mitsu in FL! Most of their ppl have been working at the dealership 10-15 yrs
Geico was charging me over 1.8k for 6 month...(My RA was 900 back to TN). So now I'm with StateFarm and just paying $116/mo. Saying Goodbye to the fatty lizard! LOL

Okay, I do wanna post few questions, but at this point, I just need ur opinion for this: As u can see, the car come with chrome side mirror covers, it looks okay for me, but I'm kinda still missing the original blue one... They let me to try few days before go to order original ones and replace for me. So what do u guys think that chromes on an OB SE? Appreciate!

Some of u might know I was looking for Blue MR wing... The dealer said they could get me one for $2000!!!!! I guess I'd better get it from someone who wants to go Wingless for Blue GSR w/SSS... Wish myself luck LOL

PS: I'd like to buy a APR Vortex Generator, but they only list one for GSR w/ SSS and one for MR or GSR base, since SE doesn't come with Satellite Radio, so which one should I get?

How much did you pay OTD? I'm planning on getting a 2011 when they come out. I live in the South Florida area, and I've heard good stuff about coconut creek so far.

 

Congrats on you new X. You've got to be feeling pretty good right now . As they mentioned earlier take it easy while breaking it in (warm florida weather ), you wont regret it later.
And i figure you really want a high wing. If you know what you want just keep searching for anyone selling theirs and you will find one.
Ebay also has Evo X "style" wings for around 200$ last time i checked. Its similar to the MR wing but without the plastic undercover.

 

Yea 2k from the dealer is about right. Sucks. And I say ditch the chrome. I thought they were covers?

If I was you I would prolly get an ebay one and get it painted OB. It wouldn't be too hard to match. And that would only cost you like 400ish bucks. And since they don't come with the plastic under pieces like OEM you could get a carbon one and just paint the top and leave the underneath carbon. I think it would look pretty cool. Definitely unique.

 

yea im not to much of a fan of the chrome mirrors. when i got my x almost 2 months ago, theyhad 2 PB ones. one had the chrome mirrors one didnt. opted for the non chrome. and the short wing, not sss. kinda like the short wing now. but,,, the reason the dealer is telling you 2000 for the wing is cause, they wont sell it without a new trunk and the shocks as well. they say that the sss wing is heavier then the stock small gts wing and the trunk wont hold up with our shocks. also the bolt pattern is different. you can find one on here, there is a few, and just drill two holes in your trunk. or get the carbon fiber one (witch is alot lighter also) and drill two holes as well.but like ARTEX said.... i also saw replica sss big wings on ebay, without the plastic black underneath. just an option. oh a i second, break it in!!!! just started getting on my X, just reached 1200 miles. enjoy and good luck!!!!

 

Thanks for the info! Are you saying the regular trunk (SE truck) won't hold the heavy MR/SSS Wing even with the shocks?

 

Ive seen plenty of people on here rocking the big wing with the non-SSS trunk. It is HEAVY tho. Opening the trunk is kind of a workout. Ok not exactly. I think the shocks thing is BS. You can order a new OEM spoiler for around $1300 i think. But thats still too much. I say wait for one to pop up on the marketplace or do like I said before and get one off ebay.

2k for the wing? the whole sss package was 2k for me. maybe thats what they were quoting you ( i hope ). imo i think the chrome covers are a little ricey, painted to match is always a nice touch. and congrats on your new baby!!!
