I don't know if I'd sell a car just because of a couple month injury. I would go the beater route if I were you. You could potentially lose a lot of money selling your GSR and getting a BMW 335xi. Those things aren't cheap!

Good luck with your surgery. In your case my last resort would be changing to another new car. I considered the 335xi before buying my evo, but eventually decided on the evo since there are so many options for modding. My last car was a 2004 S4, and it was a great car but had almost zero upgrade options. Out of the options you've listed i'd go with the 335xi; I prefer Audi out of the german makes, I'm sure you will choose something great for driving.

You'll lose quite a bit of money if you decide to trade. Keep your car and borrow a car from your parents (if they have a spare). Otherwise bring along a passenger and have him/her do the shifting for you.

Like said above buy a **** box for 6 months. You are going to lose that amount anyway, might as well stand a chance to recoup the money later selling said **** box.

idk man, i had an evox mr and while the trans was amazing in its engineering and performance after about 3 months i wanted to go bak to driving a clutch. thankfully some b**** totalled my MR a few weeks ago so next spring ill be picking up a gsr. i say wait the 6 months and stick with your gsr or i think you might be kicking urself in the butt once ur healed. also if your big on tunning and adding big HP #s then your gonna wana stick with a gsr as adding power through a sst tranny is more of a challenge and def more costly.

+1 to getting a beater car for sure. i always have a beater to put the miles onto.

only six weeks is required to rest the shoulder after surgery. after that it is rehab full time in order for you not to get a frozen shoulder. nothing beats rehab than to shift those gears

I have tendonitis in my right elbow (old f***!), and the MR helps keep it in check. Shifting is good therapy, but can also inflame what you are trying to heal. You bought the Evo X for a good reason, none of the other cars mentioned will give you that thrill or bang for the buck as the X will. IMO.

Meng, IMO I don't think it's a good idea to get a new car just because you're going to be disabled for half a year... I mean, assuming you'll be able to use your arm to its full extent after the 4/6 months then you can drive your car again by then... then why not just get a beater like already mentioned... $1,200 bucks will get you an auto civic/kia or some other crap of the same sort until you're done recovering

really do think about this before you make the jump

of course, unless you have money to spend and it wouldn't hurt your finances...
